I am sure some of you are thinking, “alright Isaac, who are you? What makes you so special that I waste my life reading about yours?” Well, I am so glad you asked. For most of my life, I was just like you: boring, reserved, afraid to go out of my comfort zone. But that all changed in one dramatic moment. One night, I was in “deep meditation” (that moment when you are super tired but can’t sleep) when I stumbled across the most profound thought I have ever had: I am me. Now, that may seem like the most obvious fact in the world, but it changed my life. I am me. I am not someone else, so I do not have to be like anyone else. I am free to be anyone and anything that I want to be.

So who am I? I am someone that is really really REALLY dumb. Somehow, when all the genes were getting passed out, they forgot to give me a common sense one. To you, that may seem like a bad thing, but I see it as one of the greatest gifts I can have. I love making fun of myself, and being dumb gives me countless reasons to do so. Don’t believe me? Picture this: I stare at the red hot skewer in the flames, and think, “I wonder how hot that is.” Thirty seconds later, I am dumping all of my water for the night onto my throbbing finger, kicking myself for not thinking of the consequences. If you still don’t believe me, then you are probably one of those people that are too nice for their own good.

There you have it: a little bit about me. If all you wanted was the boring stuff, then I guess I can put that too. I was born in Virginia but spent most of my life in California. I am a college student at BYU, and I am 17 years old (although I pretend I am 18 a lot of the time). I love adventuring in the outdoors; I am a little sarcastic; and I am obsessed with space, time, and gravity. Oh, and my name is Isaac Smith if you didn’t notice it in huge letters on the homepage.
